I have a gajillion pictures, and I keep reading everyone's cute review of 2012 posts and word of 2013 posts, and deep thoughtful posts, and all I can think is: ok. Tomorrow I'm cleaning my toilets. Promise.
... I still haven't done that either. ;)
Luckily for me, I have this really nice roommate who is cute and thoughtful and smelled like cleaning products when I got home for lunch today. :)
So. After we got back from our 2 weeks with the Coffin/Gallegos side and all the CNA glory that was intermingled with it, Matt had one whole week of nothing to do before school started.
And let me assure you. We did nothing. :)
(Well, besides lounge in PJ's every morning eating breakfast and watching our latest addiction, Flashpoint on Netflix, and then lounging some more, and hanging out with family.)
This week has been crazy and it's already Wednesday! (technically I don't really have time to even be blogging. But I was annoyed with my blog being so boring so I had to do something... right? ;p) Seriously, the hardest adjustment from Christmas break has been getting used to Matt being gone and busy again. I got so used to being a bum at home with my best friend, that now it's weird to be busy alone again. :) But it's good! Matt and I have renewed our determination for job hunting, in hopes that some poor students have way too many classes and had to quit their jobs or something. So far, no one took too many classes. Just you wait... someone will get sick of paychecks and crave more library homework time!
Matt's class schedule is good so far, I think he'll survive another semester! He has a couple of evening classes on Thursday, so I guess at least we're both gone Thursdays?
My Pharmacy Tech classes have (finally) officially started as of yesterday, and I have TONS of reading to do before class which means I haven't even had time to be bored! (yay!) It's going to be rough getting used to having a really long really late class and two hours of night driving, but I really loved the class time. It's interesting, and I'm super excited to get into the hands on stuff. :) Talking about early medicine has also given me another bullet point on my grateful list, (or several) because it's incredible to think of how much people figured out and discovered in medicine clear back in like 1550 bc!
And now that we have all this handy dandy medical stuff that keeps us well beyond comfortable, aren't you grateful some ancient guy let another guy dissect dead criminals? (See? Awesome curriculum. ;) )
Rewinding a little, before Erin had to trek back to Ephraim, the sisters and my mom had a girls night and went to Les Miserables. I'm definitely impressed, but I don't know that I want to watch it again any time soon. It's so heavy. The actors did such an amazing job bringing all the details of the story to life and gave everything a more realistic perspective than you see in the play. A. Ma. Zing. :) (I wasn't even super disappointed in anybody's voice either!)
Part of our adventure was finding out that the showing wasn't at 4:30, but at 4:00 (this was at... oh... 4:15. Just a little too late, eh?) So we went to the 6 showing... which meant I got home at like... 9. Ish.
And what did I see when I walked through my door?
Just a candle light dinner and love note. :) Yup, we still like each other. Yup, he's still a sweetheart. :)
So. Yeah. I guess that will do until I find patience with our slow laptop to upload all the fun stuff (aka pictures).
Now you don't all think we died over the break or something. :)
Thanks for the update sweet Shannon.....Love your busy, happy life. Sounds like you are enjoying you classes and learning a lot. You two stay well and happy..Love both of you tons, and tons.... come see us some time...
