Well... time's still flying right along!
According to the app Jaden can hear everything I do, just a little more muffled. :) (aaand on with the Christmas music! ;)
He's the size of a grapefruit this week! Again, all this fruit comparison stuff doesn't seem like it's going chronologically... but whatever I guess. :)
So...
Cravings: Guys, it's bad but all I've wanted lately is Pepsi, popsicles and occasionally a really big glass of milk. (Probably in attempt to counteract the Pepsi huh.) :p
Aversions: Food in general kinda. Nothing really sounds good, I'll explain more in a sec.
Best part of this week: Matt finally felt Jaden moving! We were just laying down to take a nap and not only could Matt finally feel Jaden's little kicks, but we could see them! How nuts is that? It's kinda weird to see my belly doing the wave. :p
Hardest part of this week: Two things. First, I have had a constant stomach ache- ya know, the kind where you just don't even want to eat anything? But I get nauseous if I don't eat. But I get heart burn and a worse stomach ache if I do. Hello tums. It's been frustrating because I get SO hungry but I just really don't want to eat anything, and absolutely nothing sounds good. (Plus I feel like everything smells like onions lately so that may have something to do with it. :p)
Second, hormones are kicking my butt. I have a hard time not feeling super down and flustered one second and then fine and happy and whatever the next. (Cue the song 'Mood Rings') Bless Matt's soul. He's probably really grateful this little person is a boy and not another hormonal girl. ;) Good thing he loves me.
It's also been kinda crazy to feel like my body is just this weird achy human making machine. Something new hurts every day, but at least it seems to rotate through instead of just all piling up! :p Pregnancy is not for wimps. (And I happen to be a wimp.)
Oh, as of the past couple of days I decided I can't lay on my back anymore. If I do for very long I start feeling kinda weird and my feet will start to fall asleep. Guess I'd better get used to sleeping on my sides! :p It was funny to realize that must be what was going on because most days I don't feel like I'm big enough for this yet.
Jaden's been kicking away still, and it makes me giggle sometimes at his timing. Last night when I was feeling super grumpy and thinking about how sick I was of being alone at home he started in with his kick boxing like, "um, excuse me, do I not count?" :p It'll be fun when he's here in person to keep me company though. :) And then another day when I was thinking, "oh he's not kicking right now, I'll go lay down for a quick nap" he started doing dances on my bladder. ("neiner neiner mom, you think you get to sleep now that I'm around?" ;p )
I can't wait until I can start really getting things set up and ready for him to get here. :) I think Christmas break will be a good start because then I'll have Matt's help to take down our spare bed and re arrange the furniture in the spare room to make space for a crib and rocking chair. :) (And he'll be able to help me de-junk the spare closet so Jaden will have a place for all the cute clothes I'm dying to start collecting!)

Fun times ahead Shannon...It is going to be soooo exciting.....And you will be amazed at how much comfort and joy you will feel with your little buddy here to keep you company. I enjoyed Cherene so much...WE had four years before any one come to join us in our little family....
