We are down to 6 weeks. (hopefully). Is that absolutely nuts to anyone else? Everyone keeps telling me it'll slow down toward the end because I'll be so sick of being pregnant.
So far it's still not slowing down!
(I still can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Kind of depends on my mood I guess, because lately I've been having dreams about Jaden already being here and then I wake up and I'm really disappointed to realize I'm still pregnant and I can't snuggle him yet. :p And then some days the nerves set in again and I think maybe it'd be alright with me if things really slowed down between now and March.
Right now I think there's only one way out of this and we might as well get it over with sooner than later so bring it on March!)
Best part of the week: Probably still
just feeling Jaden stretch out and move around so much. :) It's fun to
try and figure out his schedule because it's definitely getting more
regular. He's going to be a party animal around 6 I'm guessing. :) And
after 10 at night too. So I guess we just need to be getting ready to
play lots because he's an active little guy!
Hardest part of this week: Headaches are back and I'm just stinkin exhausted all the time! Like seriously, I go for a little walk and I come back and I'm so wiped out! But that's also been a positive because it's not too difficult to fall asleep now. :p
Aversions: Still basically just water and granola. I'm doing better with the water though, if it's really cold and I can have ice in it (especially the crushed ice) then it's not too bad to drink.
Cravings: A huge hamburger. With a big slice of tomato. Doesn't that just sound like heaven? And here I go being the stereotype, but I really want watermelon this week. And strawberries and blueberries. Really, fruit in general sounds great. :) (Hey, I craved a healthy thing... this is a big deal! :p)
According to my emails and apps and all that fun reading material: he can recognize and react to familiar songs. So remember my confession that I might be cheesy and sing "I am a child of God" fairly often? Maybe he's recognizing the difference between that and the songs on the radio I sing along to! That's kind of a cool thought. It also said sometimes babies are more soothed after they're born by songs that you sang before they were born. We're buying a primary songbook CD.
I can still wear my ring, technically, but a lot of times I'd rather not because the water retention sneaks up on me throughout the day and then my finger gets claustrophobic. :p But for work and going to my Atonement institute class I can wear it. Which is good because sometimes that could look awkward I assume? (I think I think too much.)
Anyway. Kid's really making the most of my bladder and ribs while he can. I mean he's been an active little squirmer the whole time, but the past couple of days it's been pretty uncomfortable! Haha I honestly can't bend forward sometimes because he gets positioned up under my ribs just right. I think we're in for a bundle of energy. :) He's up playing at 10ish almost every night, and then usually around 3, and again at 5-6... if I ever get up any other time during the night to use the bathroom the kicks start up again like, "Oh good, you're awake mom! I'm bored, lets do some karate." ;) It's still fun though. A little painful, but fun. (It's just making me less nervous and more impatient to get him outta there so we can play for real.)
We had an appointment yesterday, and Dr. Gatherum thinks that he's already in a head down position (which explains the extra pressure on my bladder I suppose), and said that everything else looks normal. He's measuring normal and I'm normal and there's nothing exciting haha. Which is good, right! We have another appointment in 2 weeks and then we're into the one a week stage. (Crazy? That means we only have 5 more appointments. In theory. Hopefully. Let's cross our fingers that Jaden decides he really approves of his due date and comes right on time like a good boy.) Yesterday morning I realized how close we're getting and hit a panic mode and started packing my hospital bag. Panic is a good motivator apparently. ;) So now I've got everything ready besides the things I still need to use between now and then, and as for Jaden's things, he's got what he needs to be comfy at home! (We're just waiting on this coupon thing to come in the mail for the car seat.) And speaking of Jaden's things, we've got the Cedar family baby shower this weekend, the Cedar friend shower the next weekend, and the North baby shower the next weekend!

(P.S. only 13 more days of work left. ;) )
P.P.S just because I thought it was cool to finally see a difference (I always feel bigger, but I never feel like it looks any different...) here's some comparisons.
25 Weeks 31 Weeks 34 Weeks
I feel like he's a little lower now too? Maybe it's just because he's head down now. Either way I finally feel like my bump is changing! (which is silly because it started out as a small pooch... obviously it has been changing. But it kinda plateaued? Whatever. I'll stop rambling. Happy Wednesday!)
