Happy birthday baby boy!

Jaden babe, how do I put all of you into a handful of words?  It's been so much fun to watch you grow into your personality. From day one you were a happy little cutie, and that hasn't changed much. You still brighten every room with your smiles that come from your whole face. :) You love to giggle, and it's the best sound I've ever heard.  I have never met a busier baby in my life. Most of them actually stop to take a breather, but you... not so much. You've got more energy than I ever do, which gives you the advantage to get into every cupboard, drawer, and box in this house. ;)  You're starting to get more into books- but only when you're tired enough to sit still for thirty-second intervals. I love when you will let me snuggle you on my lap and let me read to you. You love to turn the pages for me, and I love watching your tiny fingers doing it.  We've started a new bedtime routine where we read together while you drink your bottle and then sing a song. You LOVE it, and it's the cutest thing.  You also love music. Earlier this week I was sitting at the table browsing facebook, (like a good mom does :/ haha) when I saw a video of a guy playing 'Radioactive' on a violin. As soon as you heard the first note you came running over, wanting me to pick you up. You sat on my lap and didn't move an inch during that whole video. When it was over you sat there for a few more seconds, just staring at the screen, and then whispered 'Wow!' and looked at me with these huge, wide eyes. :) I looked up some of The Piano Guys videos, and you did the same thing for those. I hope you always love music. :)  Your one year old check up went alright considering we had to do an anemia check and some shots... never fun. :( Good news is that you're healthy and growing like you've always been! You're still our skinny baby, you weighed in at 19 lbs 3 oz, and you're 30 1/4 inches tall now! (6% for weight haha and 66% for height!) Your head circumference is 18 1/4, which is 49%. 
Your party was awesome bud! You have so many people who love you and came to support you on your big day! 
Friday  (your birthday) morning we started out the day with balloons as your wake up call!

You weren't quite sure what to do with all of this so soon after waking up. ;)
We had one of your favorite breakfasts, and even put a candle in your pancake. Again, you weren't too sure what to do about your crazy mom singing 'Happy Birthday' and setting your food on fire. :p 

 We decided to try out the balloons again after breakfast, and they were much more fun this time around. You were so funny playing with them- you have been such a giggly baby this past week!

 We watched some cartoons and looked through books in your new Jaden-sized rocking chair from Grandma and Grandpa Coffin. :) Oh, and jabbered on the phone. ;)

I had so much fun decorating for your party- I was so happy that you liked it! Your party was perfect. Great Grammie Marilyn, Aunt Cherene, Aunt SheraLyn and Uncle Lloyd, Grandma and Grandpa Heap, Grandma and Grandpa Gallegos, Uncle Matt and Aunt Mallorie (and cousin Reed), Aunt Erin, Aunt Marissa, Aunt Megan, and Aunt Bri came to celebrate with us! We had yummy pizza and salads for dinner, and then opened all your fun presents! Grandma Coffin and Uncle Enoch got to facetime with us so they could see you open your gifts and smash your cake. :)
The cake was probably the best part of the whole thing- I had no doubt that you'd love the cake, but I didn't think your dad would love it as much as you! ;)

Haha, his face kills me. He obviously was loosing patience by this point. Couldn't we just let him go and play with all his new stuff?? ;) 

This is possibly my favorite picture from the whole thing. This captures his personality so well haha.

Happy birthday wonderful boy! We're so happy you're our kid,  and that we're buds. :) This next year is going to be even more exciting with you! Adventure's out there!
