Summerween.

In case you're curious, I stole the title from a Disney Channel show called Gravity Falls. More on that later.
So. It's Thursday again. Apparently it's been dubbed my official laundry and blogging day. :p
(This morning as I'm still hiding under the quilt, Matt walks back into the room, "Are you doing laundry today?" groggily,"Yeah?" He whips out some clothes, "Good 'cause these are my last pair!" I'm glad we have underwear to keep me on laundry schedule. :p)

OH k. So here we go with the back tracking. Via pictures. (because "How can I blog boring things if I don't have pictures?")
Mustache rock. Clearly. In Grandma Marilyn's
rock collection in Hatch. This was the night before the cattle
drive. :)

Finally cold enough for hot chocolate?
Yes.
Cold enough for a hot chocolate clean up fail?
Definitely.
(Tori AKA Taurus, Torrence and TORI BABB,
had one of these at Snow and we always cleaned
it out by putting soapy water in it. Note for future
reference? Don't leave it on the 'froth' setting.
Because it works all too well. :) )

Cedar has gorgeous sunsets!! I didn't even have to edit these!

:)
 I. Love. Our. FHE. Group! Thanks, that's all. Except for now here's the story. (Did that sound a little Junie B-ish to you?) So we carved pumpkins at our house. And had pizza that I waited FOREVER for at Papa Murphy's. Which is apparently quite the place for Monday night cooking blues. We had two other couples make it, the Bond's and the Gehrings. So cute. :) After we finished carving, Jordan and Nikki started doing trust falls. Which lead into Matt and Jordan doing trust falls... which led into Kyle, Jordan and Matt doing monkey-in-the-middle style trust falls where they just pushed the guy in the middle back and forth between them until someone fell. :p And that turned into them taking turns jumping over each other. It's fairly entertaining, actually.
This one would be mine. :) He's cute. We like him.
Jordan and Nikki. (sorry it's blurry!)

Kyle and Janessa
Of course, we had to document our creations... and what better way than to make faces that match the masterpiece! Interpretive art of art. :p

I didn't notice until just now... mine has like super
beady little eyes.

Jordan trusting Matt...

And Matt trusting Jordan and Kyle...

And so on and so forth.

We thought it kind of looked like a mechanical claw was
dropping Matt into line after it already dropped Kyle
and Jordan. Maybe we're weird?
Sister dates save my life sometimes. (Aunt Cherene, that was almost as cool as some of our other alliterations? Yeah?) I kidnapped Bri this afternoon while my mom was at work (and by kidnapped I do mean kidnapped. It was a crime of passion. Or impulse. None of that premeditated stuff. But my mom really didn't know about it or where she was until she got home and texted me. :p) Tonight at Institute Matt and I are signed up for treats. So Bri came over to my house and helped me make some of my mom's delicious Vanilla Bundt Cake. Seriously, it's like buy bigger pants good. After the cakes were cooling, we may or may not have downloaded the Disney Channel app on my ipod so she could show me this funny show! (Gravity Falls) Which is, as she informed me, quite funny. That's where the post title came from. We watched an episode called Summerween... where they carved jack-o-melons, and had Halloween in the Summer! The past few days have been so warm here, so I figured it fits. I can't decide if I'm proud of myself for still watching Disney shows and occasionally Veggie Tales or if I should be concerned about my stunt in growing up. :p
(Seriously though. Sunday we don't watch anything besides church movies or Disney, and since we're lacking most of both categories... or any category really, we decided last Sunday that Veggie Tales Jonah and the Whale totally was a Sunday show. And we maybe even giggled at it.)

"now pretend to eat the batter!"

"pretend to eat even more batter!"

Mmmm. Be jealous. ;) And yes, the pan is different. We made
two! :) Cuz 'mama eat EVERYTHING' :) (including piggles)
And as of 3:00 tomorrow, Matt's on Fall Break! So we're headed off to Hatch to brain wash my husband into being a blood thirsty killer like the rest of our fam. Sounds like the average American southern utah family, right? ;)

  1. I have a confession to make. I found Phineas and Ferb on Netflix and started watching it by myself. I am almost 26. That's normal right...? It's really funny! I feel that this blog is a safe space for such confessions.

Also, that bunt cake? GET IN MA BELLY!
