Dreams really do come true!!
Ok. So remember how I've loved cameras and pictures since I was little with a dollar store film camera, and took really lame pictures along our 'haunted house lane'? Remember how I've gone through a few different really good digital cameras? Remember how I've been dying for a DSLR for a long time, even though I don't really know anything about them?
Well. Here's where the great news comes in. Leesa, a girl I worked with last year at Bryce, does photography and is awesome at it and so she wanted to upgrade her camera to a D800. She was selling her D60 with two lenses, all the cords, batteries, the case... everything for 250. Um... yeah. $250?? So I told Matt (while doing a little happy jumpy dance) and asked if we could do it. ("We could count it as my birthday and Christmas and Mother's Day and...") He happens to love me very much and so he said yes. :)
I finally have a DSLR! And I have next to no idea what I'm doing! Haha, here's to lots of tutorials and photography blog reading. But I'm so excited! She's probably selling her standard lens (I've got a 55-200 mm and a fixed 35 mm) at the end of the summer, so we'll save up and see if we can get that too. :)
Here's my experiments :p Eventually I'll get it figured out. But it's been my goal to get a DSLR before we have kids and now we've got one! Someday we'll get to take good pictures of cute chubby mini humans. Basically my life is complete. ;)
YOU GOT IT!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! These pictures are fantastic!!!! I'm so happy for you. Can't wait to see the pictures you create with it!
