Learning how to like raisins...

I have lots to catch up on. (At least it feels like lots rattling around in my brain. Maybe once it's all typed into neat little paragraphs  my sprawling text it'll seem like I have nothing to blog about... again. :p) So while I'm getting started, I'm sitting here eating my bowl of raisin bran (that we bought on a healthy impulse yesterday) solely for the bran. But I'm eating the raisins (so far) because I'm 21 for heavens sakes, and I should probably be past the picking through my cereal because I hate raisins. Or maybe I should just buy Wheaties. Except Cedar City WalMart does not have Wheaties. And besides. Raisins are just shrively grapes and I love grapes! I love raisins i love raisins i love raisins... I'm 21 and I'm mature enough to eat my raisin bran.
So. Last Sunday after church Matt and I went for a drive up the canyon... but didn't make it very far because we ran out of gas. :p It was such a beautiful day though! Before our drive, Matt took a nap and I read my scriptures out on a blanket and watched a funny little girl throw a tantrum. :)

After our drive we went to my mom and dad's, mostly because we love them, partly because I need a sewing machine. I've been looking for shorts long enough, and so finally I turned my pants into shorts since I messed up the hem when I tried to make them shorter last year. :p Long story short (no pun intended... kinda) I had a funny helper. 

He was helping me get the hems pinned and even. ... And making a fashion statement with the extra pant legs. ;) 

My mom has been learning crocheting for a while from a sweet sister in our ward, and she finished her afghan! Obviously we had to show it off! :)
