It's amazing!

I can come up with a million things to do when I'm trying not to do something else. :p Like homework for example. I may or may not have missed class tonight (but no worries! I can read the chapter just as well here as I could in St. George.) and so after our gym and laundry experience (and the twins and I are going tanning tomorrow. It's a bit out of order, but it'll do. :p) (Not that I watch jersey shore.) this afternoon we were supposed to go to the SUU library so Matt could write an overview for his class/presentation he'll be doing at a workshop thing this summer at SUU (I know. Hot, smart, hardworking, and impressive. I married well. ;) ) and I would do my two packets and work on my hospital test and DOPL packet. Things I haven't done a great job of working on at home lately. Well. We got back from working our guts out at the gym, ate a delicious meal that Matt cooked, and crashed. Who wanted to go the the library again? Hmm... not us apparently. So. Matt did his overview on the laptop here... and decided he needed sugar. Like, he was going to die from a cookie deficiency if he didn't get some in the next 30 minutes tops. So, like the kind wife I am ;) I went to check out our ingredient availability... flour? check. sugar? check. baking soda? check. chocolate chips? mini, but check. eggs? ... three short.
(This is where my spiel about how much I love our neighbors/married friends and how grateful I am for the ward we're in and for getting into these apartments and all that comes into play. Seriously, we're so blessed.)
I texted my kitchen wall neighbor, Megan, and asked if I could borrow eggs. Yes, this happens outside of Mayberry. ;) Luckily, she's a rock star and brought them right to my door and planned a hang out for Saturday! Bonus!
So... instead of my homework I made cookies. Considering it was because I had to save Matt's life, I'd say it's a noble cause. ;)

Here's more of my new camera experiments. I can't edit them on our laptop yet because I'm still trying to figure out how to change the format they're saved in? (If any of you are geniuses- and you are- tips are definitely appreciated. :p)

I know, they're adorable!

Matt said he needed warm cookies, and also some cookie
dough. :p Good thing I love him!

So maybe I got bored while they were baking?
Just a little fun fact, this soap always always reminds
me of Grandma Barton. :)

So it's been tradition (for me at least :p) to listen to music
every time I cook... usually it's Michael Buble, because
can you ever go wrong with him? No. You can't. :p
(Ironically, though, today it was Thompson Square. Watch
the music video for "If I didn't Have you". You'll cry.
Anyway. The point of this picture was because you
probably shouldn't mix technology and baking.
Flour gets ev.er.y.where.

Clouds!! I love love love clouds! And now I can actually
take decent pictures of them! I told Matt, if we hadn't
gotten married, this camera  might be the highlight
of my year. He reminded me it's now 2013. So, I guess
it is my highlight of the year!

Just those little things about our apartment
that I'll probably be glad I have pictures
of in twenty years... oh memories.

Bad white balance. (I think.) Still working
on that...

I spy with Matt's little eye...

We took payment in the form of cookies over to Megan
and Eric, and got a little chatty... Matt remembered that
the oven was on and I was probably burning down
the apartment. ... They were only a little crispy... ;)

P.S we made these cookies tonight. And you really should try them. :)

P.P.S remember my decision to learn to like raisins?

Well they've been winning.
