Once upon a time like... oh ya know... a month ago, my cute roommie from Snow nominated me for the Liebster award. :) I usually don't do these posts because I always feel lame, but I like Karlee so here we go! Thanks Kar, maybe this will make me be creative again! :p
thank your liebster blog award nominator on your blog
What is one thing you and your husband love to do together for date nights?
We're I'm kinda boring sometimes... we've done lots of ice cream runs and movie rentals, and we like just being able to snuggle and be together (especially in the school year when we don't get to spend a lot of time together during the week). Some of my favorite dates, though, have been the random ones when we've taken some hot dogs and had a fire by ourselves up the canyon, or when we walked down mainstreet and window shopped. Really we just love dates! :p

11 random facts about ME:
- I work at a chiropractor but I always have achy back problems because I never get around to asking for my free adjustment!
- I have become 10 times more of a germaphobe ever since I got pregnant. Clorox wipes are my new best friend at work! :p (I may or may not wipe down my phone and pens at my desk occasionally.)
- I have a serious popsicle addiction. You can ask Matt! I go through a bag by myself in less than a week. Probably not a good thing, but I think out of all the addictions I could have picked from I'm doing pretty good, right?
- I also have an addiction to maxi skirts. Dressy yoga pants. Enough said.
- I'm kinda like Karlee, in that I hate doing things alone, especially going to the grocery store. Which seems silly, and poor Matt has done his share of split the list and shop together dates.
- I still miss our old house in Circleville for two reasons. My green walk in closet, and the family room with our wood burning stove right by the french doors! Winter nights I'd take blankets and lay in front of the fireplace and watch the snow falling outside. (Cliche alert? :p I loved it though!)
- I hate talking on the phone in front of other people. I'm sure no one's even judging my phone talking abilities or conversation, but I've always felt way more comfortable slipping out to the porch or something to answer calls.
- I LOVED Nebraska! Before we took our trip last month I would get so flustered thinking about even applying for PA school out there, and as soon as we got there I kept fighting the feeling that maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing if that's where we end up... by the time we left to come home I was feeling pretty ok with applying there. :) I wouldn't mind living in cute rural Nebraska for a few years!
- I still look for shapes and 'cartoons' in wall texturing and clouds. Guess I'll always be a child. :p
- I love taking pictures, until someone else has an amazing camera in the same place. Then I just feel super self conscious. Which is stupid, how am I ever going to get better if I don't just suck it up and take pictures anyway?
- I absolutely love going through old family scrapbooks and family videos. I'm a sentimental boob.
These are Karlee's questions for her nominees. :)
If you could fly anywhere right now, where would it be?
That's hard! Matt would LOVE to go back to Brazil and I would love to go see the places his mission stories come from! But I also would love to go back to Nebraska without the super long drive! So... I'd flip a coin?

Kids, how many are you having?
Funny story, Matt said 5 and I said 3... 4 seems to be a good compromise, right? Then when I was so sick for a minute there I decided 1 baby was enough. ;) I'm sure that'll change soon and we'll just see what Heavenly Father says about the number!
What is your favorite memory of us together?
Um... good grief, like all of Freshman year? We had a stinkin fun apartment! I loved closet shopping and playing dress up every once in a while, and of course quoting kid history like nobody's business! Plus I've discovered that I'm only good at braiding your bangs... not mine, not my sisters... your hair just was the best! ;) (Until we had to try and get you un-stuck from the roller brush!) Luh you!
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Back story: I totally gave up and failed my freshman year, academically at least. I mean, my GPA was probably barely over 1. something. (I usually don't bring that up or admit to it because seriously. How embarrassing??) Fast forward to being proud; I took the next Fall semester off and worked my butt of at Bryce Canyon, which was so good for me! I realized I could get up early when I was tired and would rather sleep, and I could get to work on time and be good at something. That spring I went back to Snow, and it seriously was such a miracle to watch everything fall into place last minute to get me there for that semester! I got a 3.6 GPA for that semester, and I was so proud of myself! I went to bed early, I took care of myself, and I had balance! I showed myself that I'm not defined by my failures, and that I can change what I don't like in my life if I try hard enough- even if that just means changing my attitude. :)
What advice would you give your 16 year old self?
Oh my goodness. Boys aren't worth it. The end. Have she-friends, have fun, and have a life! :p There's way more to you than whether or not a boy likes you. It's high school.
What's something that always makes you laugh?
Matt. Haha I married a kid in an adults body! Some days when I'm grumpy I just want him to be serious for a second and then he'll do something totally off the wall that I can't help but laugh at. :p Good thing I've got him, huh!
Most embarrassing moment?
Guys, my life is an embarrassing moment. I let way too much get to me so I always get flustered! Haha I can't think of just one! ... I'll let ya know the next time something totally humiliating happens. Yeah?
What do you love most about your hubby?
He's so patient with me. I'm kinda a drama queen sometimes, and especially lately I get so overly emotional about stupid things. The thing that I always notice and appreciate if I'm getting a little frustrated is that he is always patient with me, and I know he's being patient with me because if I was in his shoes I'd probably smack some sense into me. :p
If your life had a motto, what would it be?
Just keep swimming? I don't know. That seems to be my reoccurring theme so far. I'll figure things out and conquer one thing, and then totally get back into where it feels like I just started from and have to pick myself back up and get back to work! Progress doesn't have a shelf life, so yeah.
Just keep swimming! (Pretend that was more eloquent and inspirational than it actually was. ;) )
What is the thing you are most looking forward to within the next 5 years of your life?
Learning what it means to be a mom. :) How scary does that sound? But really, I've looked forward to this for as long as I can remember. I've always felt like I just couldn't wait to be a mom and have lots of babies and stay home doing all sorts of cutesy memorable mom things with them, and now that it's here... it's a little terrifying! But I'm so excited to watch our babies discover the world and grow and develop and go through all those cute funny stages, and learn how much I appreciate my parents when I think I can't even handle parenting myself and realize how awesome they were and are to me. :p Go family! :)
