Week 21

This week baby is about 10 1/2 inches long, and weighs about 12 ounces.
Now, maybe I'm just dumb, but isn't a banana longer/bigger than a pomegranate? They must be going by weight of fruits? Anyway... moving on. :)

Cravings this week: Cinnamon-y things? (But the kind of cinnamon that goes hand in hand with sugar. Like cinnamon toast crunch, and the fruit crisp toppings, and cinnamon toast. :p That might just be from my fall obsessions though)

Aversions: ? I really don't have any this week

Best part about this week: Bigger kicks and I've slept better the past few nights! Hooray for that, right?

Hardest part about this week: I feel a little more nauseous than I have recently, and the past few days I've just REALLY wanted to lay on my stomach but there's definitely something in the way of that! :p

Also, in case you wondered, we have 130 days until baby boy's due date. (I didn't count, my app just tells me that so I figured I'd sound super eager and impatient and pass that information along. ;)

This week Matt has been MIA basically 24/7. :( He's got Organic Chemistry this semester and it's been quite an adventure I think! He had a test to get ready for that he's taking today, so if he wasn't in another class or meeting, or sleeping, he was at the library. Bless his heart, right? I'm pretty sure my brain would have definitely over heated by now.
I'm so proud of how hard he works in every aspect of his life! Matt always gives 100%, and I have never seen him give up.
(Basically I'm saying I married a winner. ;)
As proud as I am of him, it has been super hard having all that lonely time and I'm blaming hormones. I know I went nutsy before too, especially when he had to work graves last year, but the past weeks have been like 'dramatic' hard. Haha I felt like it was the end of the world! (Which is why I really need to just get a hobby. Or actually start knocking items off my to do list. :p)
I did actually finish the wreath I've been working on for like... ever. It turned out better than I thought it would!

It made a HUGE mess. (tmi: I had burlap fuzzies in my nose and eyes for the rest of the day! I legitimately had to use the lint roller on the bed, after I had vacuumed it. Lesson learned: don't craft on your bed even though it is cozier and warmer than your kitchen table. :p)
Now I just feel like it needs some fall leaves, or an autumn colored bow or something.

The positive side of Matt's crazy schedule is knowing that he always does his best to make time for us to spend together. And he's not working graves! :)
Another fun thing with this is noticing how Jaden kicks more when Matt's around and talking. He must be daddy's little buddy already. :) The first couple of times it happened I thought it was just coincidence. But it happens nearly EVERY time Matt's home now. (Him being gone more often just makes it that much more noticeable!)
Anyway... enough rambling. :)

  1. Love the cute wreath. You are very talented in anything you try to do. So proud of you..... Hope each week finds you feeling better and better. You and Matt will be such awesome parents. What a blessed little boy. Can hardly wait to meet him and hold him in my arms. Nothing brings the spirit into a home like a new little bundly straight from our Heavnly Father....

  2. SO baby loving matt already totally reminds me of what our mom used to say about Dallas. Seriously anytime he got fussy and my dad wasn't around she would call him and he would talk to Dallas over the phone and he would calm right down, So just keep that in mind when baby Jaden gets here speaker phone may come in handy. ;)
