The 39 weeks...
(Please tell me someone caught that reference.) :)
So. Where to begin. I'm a paranoid mess. :p I've only thought several different times that Jaden might be making his debut...
No worries, he's still baking. Which is good, my mom has a theory that babies who are full term are less likely to be colicky. As ready as I am to snuggle this boy, I'll take all the help I can get. :p
Thursday I had another doctors appointment. I don't even want to talk about it. :p Tuesday and Wednesday evening I started having some contractions regularly that were actually pretty darn uncomfortable and a little painful. They were coming about every 10 minutes from like 7ish until 10ish. I was getting a little hopeful thinking I'd go to bed and wake up in the middle of the night with much worse contractions and come home a day later with a baby. When I'd wake up in the morning feeling really great and completely void of cramps or contractions, I at least thought I'd be dilated further... no such luck.
I'm still stuck between a 2 and a 3. Better than nothing, but I want to know what the heck those contractions were doing besides making me remember how I'm not the biggest fan of pain. I'll go back in on the 6th (assuming Jaden still hasn't decided to vacate the premises by then) and we'll schedule an induction for the 12th just in case our little man still is too comfy to get here by then. :p Let's all cross our fingers and say some prayers he decides to come on his own before the 12th. I don't know that Matt can handle my lack of sanity for that much longer. ;)
This weeks craving: fresh fruit. Like watermelon, and fresh peaches, and grapes, and pears, and...
Aversions: I can't really think of anything... granola bars are even seeming slightly less awful. (I still haven't tested that out though haha.)
Hardest part: Contractions. Two reasons: A- I already don't like them so when I am having them I kinda wish I wasn't... and B- if I'm not having them I'm sad because then it seems like it's going to take forever to get this baby here. :p
Best part: It's been so warm and gorgeous outside and we have 4 days left! Plus I'm done with work so Monday I went for a walk, went to lunch, and got my shopping done (in an almost empty Wal-Mart. Do you know how much I love being able to shop on weekdays when everyone else is stuck in work and school? It saves me from cart rage. ;) ) and enjoyed the sunshine. I'm really loving being able to just take in these last days as a family of 2 and get all the little last things done before little man gets here. I've been able to take a nap when I'm tired, and sit down and eat a real snack when I get hungry. :) Hooray for no more work!
I'm so excited for you, it's ridiculous. Seriously. And your bump is so stinkin' cute.
