Cabin trip

This past weekend, Jaden and I went with my family to Hatch. Poor Matt had to work, so we left him home (again.) I always feel so bad because it seems like Matt misses out on everything fun. It does make me extra appreciative of how much he's been willing to sacrifice in order to make sure we always have what we need. :) I married a good one.
Anywho, we drove over Bear Valley on Saturday, and then spent the afternoon and evening hanging out, enjoying a toasty "smudge" of a fire, and doing what we do best at family gatherings... being silly. (Also eating.)

We put Jaden in my dad's cowboy hat... it didn't last long. Not surprising; Jaden hates anything on his head or around his face. :p

 He looked cute anyway. ;)
Ok, let's be honest- I got a new camera body on Friday so I pretty much just took way too many pictures. Aaand now I'm dumping them onto my blog. ;)

(And you should all know that I will probably be murdered for posting some of these.)

Our friend in Australia, Beryl, gave Jaden a remote
control Thomas the Train for Christmas.... to say that
we all enjoyed it would be a major understatement. ;)

Jaden absolutely LOVED the giant teddy bear at the cabin. (But really, who doesn't love giant teddy bears.) He loves everything soft, and likes to snuggle into it. It was hilarious to watch him toddle up to the bear as fast as he could and then face plant into it. :) I kinda like this silly boy of mine.

Look who's climbing stairs. (ohcrapohcrapohcrap)

We took some more greenery to put in Grandpa's flowers at his grave. :) We brought Jaden along to visit "Poppa Wallace". Lately I've really been missing grandpa. Lots of little things will pop up throughout my day that remind me of him. I've wished so much that I could see him with Jaden. And I've been aching to sit down with him and let him tell me stories of advice that would make me feel better about things I'm frustrated with. I want a big hug from him. :) I want to hear him laugh at family get-togethers.
I just miss him.
I'm so grateful that we have the gospel and knowledge that we can see those we love again. :)

The moon was so big, and it looked gorgeous with the sun set and pink mountains.

I might be in love with this picture. :) His tongue sticking out kills me!

Love this smiley boy!!
