Well. I'm officially in denial that I have one more of these updates to write before I'll be posting about Jaden smashing his first birthday cake and all the other adventures of his birthday.
Weird. So so weird.
Anywho.
Mr. Jaden boy,
Ten months have flown by so much faster than I would have thought! I've absolutely loved this past month though- I'll admit I was kind of stuck on missing all of the 'tiny baby' phases and thinking that hey. Maybe you should have a sibling or something. (Mom brains are really weird like that I guess. Which is probably how the earth is still populated.) The past month, and especially the past week, you and I have had so much fun together! I've watched you playing with me and just felt so content and complete. :) You're walking all over the place, and so smart! We have fun playing together during the day, and yesterday you actually sat through a whole book! Having you sit on my lap and watching you get excited over the different pictures of animals and babies was honestly the highlight of my day! I can't wait until you're big enough to really love books. I have a feeling we'll spend lots of time snuggled up on the couch looking at all sorts of books.
Speaking of books, we took a trip to the library a little while ago- and you loved it! You loved turning all the pages, and sitting in the little reading cubby. You loved yelling your greetings to all the other little kids who were there too. :) The next time you go will be a little bit wild, since you love to walk over to shelves and pull everything off of them. ;)
You've still got only two little teeth, but I have no doubt you'll have a few more very soon! You've been a mean little teething beast lately, it's so frustrating that I can't do anything to make you feel better. We've been trying to teach you not to bite people... I think you're finally catching on. ;) Your crib has teeth marks all around the top, but at least I haven't had a bruise for a while.:p
You're also finally getting what "no touch" means. When I'm getting ready in the morning you'll wander into the bathroom and usually head straight for the toilet or the toilet paper. If I tell you "Jaden, no touch!" you'll turn around with these wide eyes and slowly take your hand off of it. :) Sometimes you still get this little grin on your face and reach back to touch whatever it is I don't want you to- all while smiling at me. You little stink, haha I have the hardest time not laughing.
You got a couple of activity cubes for Christmas and you love figuring things out. You're really into putting things away now, in fact we can't ever find your binkies because they've all been neatly put away where we would never think to look. ;) When I pour some puffs out for you to eat, you'll take them from my hand and put them back into the bottle one by one. You've started putting the lid back on. Upside down, but still. ;) It blows my mind how fast you learn things bud. You'll 'share' with us now when we hold our hands out and ask. You like to share your bottle and binkie with us all the time too. I'm not sure we're always happy about that, but hey. It's the cutest little gesture. :)
We love you bud! We love your hugs and extra loud conversations, and we can't wait to see what you figure out next. ;)
