Pizza can be such a fun and creative meal idea. We've had fun re-creating our favorites, and testing out some new ideas. My favorite part of the pizza, though, has always been the crust. I've been strange ever since I was little, and have always loved tasting doughs and batters while cooking. I'm a carb junkie I guess. ;)
My mom has always had the best pizza dough recipe, and so that's what I use now!
1 c. warm water
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp yeast
3 tbsp oil (1/3 c for the doubled recipe)
2 1/2 c flour
1 tsp salt
combine the sugar, salt, yeast, and flour in a large bowl and mix. Add oil and water, stir/knead for 10 minutes. Let dough rise 1 hour.
Press dough into a slightly greased pan and bake at 450 degrees F. for about 7-10 minutes, or until lightly browned. (If you want a softer crust bake for a shorter period of time.)
Put on your desired sauce and toppings, and bake an additional 7-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted, and crust is browned.

How do you get your crust to look so beautifully perfect?! My crusts always look really lumpy and not-round.:)
